What is a flautas?

Flautas are a popular Mexican dish made from rolled-up tortillas that are typically filled with meat, cheese, and/or beans, then fried until crispy. The name "flauta" means flute in Spanish, referring to the shape of the dish. Flautas are commonly served with toppings such as salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and shredded lettuce. They can be made with a variety of fillings, including chicken, beef, pork, or seafood. Flautas are often enjoyed as a snack or appetizer, but can also be served as a main course.
